The first international volunteer was with us in 1994 and since 1995 we had continuous support from international volunteers, who came to spend a couple of months with us (some even stayed for years…!). So far we had volunteers from Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK and the USA.
In 2000 some of our former volunteers founded an association in Germany called “Freundeskreis Pretoria Community Ministries e.V.” (“Friends of PCM”), which aims at supporting PCM and the Tshwane Leadership Foundation. The Friends of PCM are a good contact in order to get into touch with former volunteers who can share some of their experience with students interested in volunteering. Students from Germany are requested to apply for their stay with the Friends of PCM (www.freundeskreispcm.de).
