Inkululeko Day Care Centre was started in August 2000 in direct response to an expressed need by the community. Since then more than 250 children have attended the school.
Inkululeko means “Freedom”: the freedom to be what God has meant you to be.
The Centre provides quality pre-school education to 60 3-6 year old children. 99% of the children come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our goals: To provide a high standard of holistic (i.e. spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and social) education, and to empower staff and parents with the necessary educational and parenting skills. |
|
Finances · In 2005 the school fees are R460 per child per month · We usually have only one or two parents who can pay the full school fees · The other parents apply for bursaries through individual interviews during which their financial situation is assessed and the school fees to be paid are determined · Our average income per child per month is about R160. To make up the deficit between what parents can pay and the actual costs we rely on donations from well wishers
